I was invited to be a guest at a little “Mindtripping” magic show put on by a local couple Christian and Katalina a couple of weeks ago. And you know what? I’m still kind of ticked off about it.
But not ticked off in a “WHY DID I WASTE MY EVENING” kind of way, ticked off in a “HOW COULD I LET THEM GET ME I MUST GO BACK” kind of way. I mean, I’ve watched magic shows from afar, I’ve seen the “how do they do it” shows on TV. But to be the subject of the trickery? BAH! Frustrating.
I was even the girl who called them out MIDSHOW claiming they were using some sort of secret code…so they pulled me up on stage, let me pick a handful of random cards and Katalina GUESSED EVERY SINGLE ONE while she was blindfolded with her nose stuck to the wall.
Gah! Gah! Gah!
So here’s the deal, Katalina and Christian are a charming couple who call Indianapolis home, they may travel the world but are over the moon to be performing right in downtown Indianapolis at the Hilton. There’s only 40 tickets available for each Friday and Saturday night show and it was sold out on the night I went. The audience interaction is fantastic (PERFECT for a date…you could even bring your kids if you wanted.) When you purchase tickets to the show you are also granted a buy one get one free dinner in the 120 West restaurant in the hotel (I had the ribeye, it was amazing.)
Dinner and a totally entertaining (albeit frustratingly entertaining) show? Totally worth it.
