Watch the Circle Centre Mall Doing Indy podcast here!
Indianapolis is all about being compact, connected and convenient and nothing expresses this more than our downtown mall, Circle Centre. This mall is not only connected to the Indiana Convention Center but numerous hotels and restaurants. Not only that, but the mall is also connected to several under and above ground parking structures so shoppers never even have to go outside.
Sure there are great stores to shop in, tasty restaurants to dine and even fun entertainment options but the unique feature to this mall is the architecture. Connectivity is one part of that architecture but the “cool factor” to this mall is outside. For many years during its construction, Circle Centre was just a big hole in the center of downtown Indianapolis. During this process, developers decided to carefully remove old, historic, storefronts and incorporate them into the final design of the mall. This helps keep our grand three-story mall from looking like a big shopping center dropped in the middle of downtown.
So to tell the Circle Centre story correctly you need to talk about the connectivity, the convenience to shoppers, the great architecture that helped keep the old downtown Indianapolis charm and, of course, the great shopping you can find with store anchors Nordstrom and Carson Pirie Scott, as well as, other fantastic local and national brands.
