You may or may not know that Earth Day is a great time to snag free goods . . .
For instance, I picked up a swell reusable grocery bag at Target on Sunday.
On Friday (4/22), at participating Starbucks you can score free brewed coffee or tea when you bring in your own mug.
Also on Friday the 22nd, head to your closest Origins store to pick up free paraben free cleanser when you recycle your empty makeup tubes and bottles.
At Lowe’s stores on Saturday 4/23 you can pick up a FREE tree to celebrate the beauty of the earth.
And in downtown Indianapolis on Saturday, White River State Park will provide a great place for you to learn and play with your family the lessons of sustainability and creation care. With over 130 exhibits, live music, crafts and entertainment especially for the kids, food vendors, and more, this event promises to be both educational and entertaining! Earth Day Indiana takes place from 11 AM to 4 PM. Come prepared to have your green skillz sharpened.
Worried about the weather? No need to fear the rain (especially on such a natural day!) because the exhibits are housed under large tents and this great free event will go on rain or shine. Plus a walk in the rain might be the very best way to celebrate the earth on its special day.
You’ll find information on everything from parking to event details here.
Who knew being green meant more green in your pocket?
