So you’ve made, or are planning to make, the pilgrimage to Indianapolis for Super Bowl XLVI but don’t have thousands of dollars lying around for a ticket to the big game?
That’s OK, because you’re most certainly not alone. There is plenty to do downtown other than the actual game. As I mentioned in a previous post, Super Bowl Village has so much to offer in the way of food, drink and entertainment that it would be impossible to cover it all in one post.
But what are you going to do during the game? If you haven’t made plans yet, you’re in luck because there are a number of options in downtown Indy to watch the game on big screens, surrounded by good people while being served delicious food and drink.
Sahm’s at the Tower, for example, will be hosting a SUPER SUNDAY Party at the One America Square beginning at 3 p.m. Tickets include food and drink and are $100 per person – reservations are required. At Adobo Grill, fans can watch the game on HD projectors, and a DJ will spin before and after the game. Champps will be offering a $65 package that includes one entrée and two drinks per person and one appetizer per two people. There will also be raffle prizes and Super Bowl T-shirt giveaways, as well as 11 big-screen TVs.
Located right on Meridian Street, Kilroy’s has plenty of TVs and a DJ, a heated patio tent and drink specials. The spacious restaurant holds about 400 people, in addition to the 40-person tent. At the Elbow Room Pub, guests will also enjoy drink specials and a raffle, plenty of food and no cover charge. Scotty’s Brewhouse will have 50-plus TVs, blue beer, and great food and drinks to go along with the huge heated tent located on its patio.
No matter which direction you turn, you’re sure to find an inviting bar or restaurant with the game on, so why not take this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to watch the game just minutes away from where it’s being played?
