Indianapolis is certainly a great city to travel to and it’s even a great place to begin a journey. In fact, National Alternative Fuels thought it to be such a great city, they selected it as the beginning of an Odyssey. And not only does that mean a cleaner earth, it also means plenty of FREE family fun in Indianapolis this weekend.
On Saturday October 18th, head to White River State Park for National Alternative Fuel
Vehicle Day. All day long {10 AM to 5 PM}, there will be great FREE activities for kids of every age. And did I mention that there will be an ah-mazing guest star? Kids, Smokey the Bear will be in Indianapolis! I can hardly contain myself. Only YOU can prevent yourself from having a great time and not spending a dime.
The day’s line up of special activities includes appearances by the Colts Cheerleaders, Colts in Motion traveling Museum, Colts Fan Zone, FREE kids’ activities, plenty of exhibitors, and for your favorite vehicle junkies there will be a whole host of special energy efficient rides onsite. From an E3 Refugee Truck to Electric Cut Away, from an F150 – Propane to a Honda CNG Civic, plus a whole host of others that I have no clue what they are but imagine that they are both making the earth happy and people who love cars extremely giddy at their mere mention {read the whole list here}. For those of you who love and believe in blue, there will be a Colts’ Ticket Giveaway where you can win VIP sideline tickets to the December 9th game against the Tennessee Titans.
White River State Park has a host of can’t-miss-activities on the fall calendar in Indianapolis. From fun fitness events like Fright Night the Run and the CASA Superhero Run {I totally want to do that one!}, to ZooBoo! and the 10th Indianapolis International Film Festival, there’s a little something for everyone at White River State Park. Museums, the Indianapolis Zoo, Victory Field, the Canal, a first class IMAX theatre and a wonderful green space make it a perfect do-it-all destination in Indianapolis.
Your fall travels can both begin and end in White River State Park since there’s always fun to be had!
