The year is winding down. Before we know it, the bells for 2013 will ring bright and clear through the Indianapolis sky. But before Baby New Year makes his grand debut, your family doesn’t want to miss the following festive Indianapolis attractions.
Christmas at the Zoo. The animals and the lights haven’t packed it up for 2012. Through Sunday, December 30, you can still celebrate the holiday season with a wild spirit at the Indianapolis Zoo. For my best tips to save while visiting Christmas at the Zoo, check out this post.
Jingle Rails. This could possibly be my favorite Indianapolis holiday tradition. See the magic of trains, famous landscapes, and of course Indianapolis landmarks at the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians & Western Art. Want to save while you visit? Print out a $2 off admission coupon, courtesy of Visit Indy. But be sure you get on board before it pulls out of the “station” on January 6, 2013.
Conner Prairie’s Gingerbread Village. Run, run as fast as you can so you don’t miss this amazing display of yummy artwork. Free with general admission, you’ll delight in these culinary creations. Pull a few bucks out of the envelope grandma gave you, and head out for historical fun. The cookie crumbles on January 6, 2013. So get there before the goodies are gone.
Winterfest at the Indiana Historical Society. Kids going crazy after being snowed in at home? Not only is this amazing Indianapolis Attraction FREE December 26-29, but there will be all sorts of Winterfest extras – from juggling Blue Monkey Sideshows to free ballroom dance lessons to Radio Disney! All of the details can be found here.
