Win 2 Tickets to Sister Act at the Old National Centre

When I say Sister Act, you may think of the hilarious 1992 movie starring Whoopi Goldberg as a wise-cracking lounge singer who injects some serious soul into a convent of nuns. Forced into hiding with The Holy Order of the Little Sisters of Our Mother of Perpetual Faith (say that three times fast), she transforms their choir from a hot mess into a gospel-infused sensation. The movie’s rollicking soundtrack made it a natural fit to transform into a fabulous, flashy Broadway musical.

Sister Act will be in Indianapolis at the Old National Centre February 26-March 3 as part of Broadway Across America. The show won five Tony Awards, including Best Score (written by Glen Slater and Alan Menken, who you may remember from The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast), Best Book and Best Musical.

The stage production captures the sassiness and energy of the movie. The music covers a wide range of genres, including soul, Motown, funk and of course, disco anthems. There’s plenty of hand-clapping and dancing, including from the pope himself. And don’t forget about comedy—plenty of nun-related hijinks ensue.

My husband & I LOVE musicals, but they haven’t been in the budget lately. Just last week, he said, “We need to go & see a musical again!” Would love to win the tickets & surprise him! Thanks!

The movie inspired me to join show chior! The Pike Mystiques changed my life. With them I learned dedication, self worth, and a different kind of love. I would never have become who I am today if it was not for those three years and a little sisterly inspiration!

I would love to surprise my Grandma. She has never been to anything like this. For 31 years my Grandma took care of my handicapped aunt until she passed away. My Grandma still makes sure everyone else is taken care of first. I’m 18 and my Grandma would do anything for me and I love and appreciate her so much. Thank you and God bless.

I saw it back in 2010 when I was studying abroad in London and loved it so much that I ended up seeing it two more times. I’d love to see the changes they’ve made since it’s been brought to the US.
