Give Away: Around the World at the Children’s Museum

Traveling around the world would certainly cost a bundle for a family. And I break out into cold sweats merely thinking about passports, packing, and the laundry. EEP. That’s why I am so thankful that the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis offers the opportunity to give your family the chance to “travel” around the world {without the enormous expense or mounds of laundry either}.

The Princess Youngest {age 4} and I recently traveled to the far reach of the world via the “Take Me There” Egypt Exhibit. We boarded a plane:

Cherie & Zoe on Plane

We experienced the culture {the Sebou Ceremony in action!}:

Children's Museum Sebou

We explored homes and the marketplace and talked to the people who lived and worked there. We learned about foods, dress, and even toys. It truly gave us a chance to dive into a culture half a world away.

Recently the Children’s Museum announced that in a little over a year, the Take Me There experience will change continents and bring China to Indy. In May 2014, TWO new exhibits at this world renowned Children’s Museum will feature Chinese culture. The other exhibit - Terra Cotta Warriors: The Emperor’s Painted Army will be the first experience featuring real Terra Cotta Warriors! It’s designed with families in mind so everyone can learn about history and culture with a hands-on approach.

Before Egypt flies away, you and your family really should experience the beauty of its culture. The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis has provided me with a Family Pack of Four Tickets to give away! Follow the link to the Rafflecopter for how you can enter.

We miss going to the Children’s Museum! My kids absolutely love it but we don’t get to go very often, since we live in Ohio now. Indy would be a great family vacation though!

The Children’s Museum has such amazing exhibits for our kids — they love it there! We could have stayed all day to excavate the cave and build the mummy last time we were there!

I LOVE the Indy Children’s Museum, and sadly haven’t taken our yahoos there yet. It is seriously one of the GEMS of Indy.

The Barbie exhibit was by far my favorite exhibit! It was a girls day with my mom, aunt, cousin and I! My mom and aunt had a blast showing us the barbies they played with when they were little and my cousin loved the interactive side of the exhibit!
