This week a group of Visit Indy staffers got a preview tour of The Alexander, a new Dolce hotel that is opening on Monday, January 21, as part of the massive City Way development. The hotel, named after Alexander Ralston who plotted the city of Indianapolis so many years ago, is being touted as an art hotel and for very good reason. A unique collaborate between the developers, Buckingham Companies, and the Indianapolis Museum of Art has resulted in more than 50 works by more than 25 contemporary artists, including an unprecedented 14 site-specific commissions.
I could go on and on but instead I’ll give you a preview. Below is a very small taste of what awaits visitors at The Alexander. Whether you’re coming to Indy for a visit or are a local looking for an unforgettable stay, you need to give this newest piece of the Indianapolis hospitality package a try. With our further ado, here are “Pictures of People Taking Pictures” featuring our own Kenny Brown and Morgan Greenlee. Use the Comments section below to let us know which is your favorite.
